Skincare Routine: Simple Steps for Healthy, Radiant Skin

Everyone wants brightening, hydrating, and glowing skin. However, a hectic lifestyle, life stressors, and environmental factors make it seem impossible. On top of that, multiple skincare options, contradictory “best skincare routine” videos, and overpriced serums only add to the confusion making it nearly impossible to figure out what truly works.

To solve this issue, Soteri Skin created a step-by-step skincare routine guide that eliminates all the confusion and frustration. We care for you, and that’s why we love to guide you to a proper skincare routine. That enhances your skin's beauty throughout the day and night.

The Right Skincare Order to Follow

Your skin needs your care to flourish. A perfect skincare routine isn’t about how many products you use; it’s about choosing the right ones for your skin. But when products are used in the wrong order, the best quality products provide no result.

Morning Skincare Routine

Following a proper skincare routine guarantees that each product provides the maximum benefits:

Step 1 - Face wash: The first step is to clean your face with a cleanser, which removes dirt, excess oil, and pollution particles. A study reported that cleansing twice a day can reduce 45% chances of bacterial growth.

Step 2 - Toner: Apply toner to the damp skin. It will balance the pH of the skin and close large pores.

Step 3 - Serum: Apply serum that suits your skin. If you want a brighter skin, use vitamin C serum, for hydrating skin, use hyaluronic serum, and for acne-prone skin, use salicylic serum, niacinamide, and retinols.

Step 4 - Moisturizer: Apply any good moisturizer that suits your skin. If you have oily skin and your serum provides you enough moisture, then you can skip this part. Moisturizer can provide softness to the skin.

Step 5 - pH Lock Eczema Cream: If you have eczema patches, apply eczema cream to heal the skin and balance the pH.

Step 6 - Sunscreen: The most important part of the morning skincare routine is applying sunscreen SPF 30 or higher. It helps you to protect from with UVA and UVB rays of the sun. Apply sunscreen even if you are at home.

Night Skincare Routine for Overnight Repair

We all feel tired and want to head straight to bed after a long, hectic day. But this is when we need to make a little extra effort for our skin. Following a proper night skincare routine can help repair skin cells and give you radiant, smooth skin.

Here are some step-by-step guides for a night care skin routine:

Step 1 - Double Cleansing: Use water-based or oil-based cleansers and gently cleanse your skin. Double cleansing helps you to remove excessive oil and impurities from the skin. First, use any oil-based cleanser, or you can use olive oil or coconut oil to clean sunscreen and other dirt, and then cleanse with a water-based cleanser.

Step 2 - Apply Serum: Apply some drops of serum that suit your skin and let it dry.

Step 3 - Night Cream: Apply any good night cream, or if you have any skin infection, such as psoriasis or eczema flare-ups, use eczema cream. Take a pea-sized amount of cream and gently apply it to the face and covering all affected areas.

Step 4 - Moisturizer: Use any good moisturizer, such as olive oil, to hydrate skin, protect the skin barrier, and prevent dryness.

Step 5 - Eye Cream: Apply eye cream under your eye area. Eye creams help to reduce dark circles and puffy eyes and minimize fine lines.

Tip of the day

"Keep all your skincare products in a visible spot. Psychology says that visual cues increase the habit rate up to 42%."
